Medicalholodeck is releasing a major update of its medical XR software
bundle. New features include import of medical 2D formats, improved
visual performance and a fully integrated TeamXR app. All new features
are designed to support medical professionals, educators and students in
their daily business and professional workflow in virtual reality.
Ultrasound and Angiography Import to Virtual Reality
Medical Imaging XR
now lets you import animated ultrasound and angiography data in the
standard DICOM format. The combined display of animated 2D and 3D
formats in virtual reality provides new insights for medical
professionals and educators.
Integrated TeamXR for Medical Teamwork
TeamXR
- Medicalholodeck’s collaboration app - is now completely integrated
into the software bundle which results in improved performance for
medical teamwork. Collaborative teams are easily established with one
click, and the medical data is instantly shared between the
participants. TeamXR provides modes for free collaboration, virtual
classrooms, and live demonstrations, making the use of VR easier and
more accessible for medical professionals.
New Lighting System and Edge Filter
Medicalholodeck now offers a completely new lighting system and newly
developed edge filter tools. Used in combination they are powerful in
raising the visibility of tissue borders which results in a better
understanding of medical pathologies.
