Medicalholodeck announced the new virtual medical teamwork capability
TeamXR to its existing platform that has the ability to transform
medical education settings and to improve patient outcomes by allowing
surgeons, physicians, professors, and students to utilize virtual
reality (VR) as they discuss and prepare for a variety of use cases.
Virtual medical teamwork can improve outcomes and save costs by
optimizing medical communication and training in teams. Surgeons now
have the ability to meet in a virtual space to present and discuss data
and collaborate on upcoming medical procedures. Medical educators can
utilize the new technology to conduct virtual classes that allow patient
cases, dissections and 3D anatomical models to be studied, discussed,
and edited in groups.
“By launching TeamXR and enabling virtual medical teamwork,
Medicalholodeck is taking the next step in virtualizing medical
workflows from radiology to surgical pre-op and education,” said
Medicalholodeck's Vice President Cary Kitchen. “Medical teamwork in
virtual reality will complement professional medical workflows and
optimize medical education in the years to come. The development of
affordable, wireless VR hardware will have a deep impact on how we share
medical knowledge, teach, and collaborate.”
TeamXR, the virtual medical teamwork capability will integrate with
Medicalholodeck's existing offerings:
Medical Imaging XR,
Dissection Master XR , and
Anatomy Master XR.
